I want to thank friend of the proGram, That 1 Guy for checking in once aGain as he prepares to bring his MaGic Pipe and all its sound glory to the High Noon Saloon this Wednesday March 12th. We spoke about the new album, “Poseidon’s Deep Water Adventure Friends” and how difficult it was to make a sonically specific album…meaning that he wrote the tunes on the album with a theme…Water….He explained how he has three more in this specific theme based way…the second of which will be Outer Space, followed by Magic and then Earth. Those who catch the show will hear things known and new and maybe even something for one of these future albums. We talked about how he does a mini maGic show as a meet N greet with 20 people who sign up ahead of time and how he has been in the middle of a transformation……I also want to that Chad of the Rebirth Brass Band for ringing in and preppin’ us for the party that will be at The Sett this Thursday when RBB rolls into town fresh off a Mardi Gras way as part of the Isthmus Jazz Series….We talked about the feeling of a Grammy in the hand, and how when the band makes it to your town….they bring New Orleans with them to your place….we also spoke about…YES…a new album….he clued us into some of the potential names…..I can’t wait to see them and find out….and you’ll be the first to know riGht after that.
