Finding the way to Success.

Today was a 4 hour set that took winding paths that I feel ended up in a successful pattern with happy ears as the result. I want to thank Jamie McLean for being a part of the show (seemed like old times), we chatted about his new album, the tour stop here in Madison and how he is ready to rock the live events as a power trio. Today was one of those shows that was put together with sun rays as a bonding agent. There was a beauty brewing out my studio window and I wanted to spin a little your way, wherever you might have been tuning in from. In the second part of the program, I was able to turn the grOOve up some and hEAR it from the artists themselves as we found out the who/whats that are going on at the Hoopee Jam with Music Matters Entertainment’s Terry Reeves. Jared Tanner, one of the cast members of the Broadway touring group, the LION KING, called in and we chatted about a side project happening called “Lion in the Library” and a group dubbed Quanda, helping to raise $$ for kids in South Africa to get backpacks and books to them. Rocker/songwriter Geri X called in to the show to share a tale about desert misery, talk briefly about herself and her new album “The Bedroom Sessions” and of course a large part of her bloodline, Steel Bridge Songfest was discussed heavily during the second portion of a five hour event on the waves of WSUM. Waking the alarm clock

Someone has to get up EARly enough to wake up the alarm clocks. I felt like some sort of AlarmBot this morning stumbling into the station. I had to park four blocks further away today…on my walk in to do the show, I (1) got involved in a March of Dimes walk (2) had a detour into a Mifflin Street Block Party and (3) well, three is yet to be remembered.
